La superficie candida dello schermo resta intatta per pochi secondi. Una freccetta di plastica dalla punta di metallo si conficca sullo sfondo bianco. Sorprendentemente, produce intorno a sé dei cerchi concentrici: c’è un velo d’acqua, lì sopra, profondo pochi millimetri. Arrivano altre freccette, e ognuna provoca anelli d’acqua che si allargano. Non c’è nessun tabellone che segni il punteggio. Ogni freccia coglie il centro del suo bersaglio, per il fatto stesso che è stata lanciata. Gli anelli d’acqua rivelano la necessità delle cose che accadono. Ogni gesto, ogni fatto contiene in sé la sua perfezione e, in un certo senso, la produce.

For a few seconds, the white surface of the screen remains untouched. Then a plastic dart with a metal point strikes the white screen, creating concentric circles all around it. Just above, there’s a thin layer of water a few millimetres deep. Other darts hit; each of them creating circles of water that grow larger and larger. There’s no scoreboard keeping track. Each arrow hits its target, just by being launched. The circles of water suggest the necessity of things that happen. Every gesture, every fact embodies its own perfection and, in some respect, produces it.
