Lo spazio è quasi interamente ricoperto da rotoli di tessuto, da strati e teli. Sono tappeti di vari tipi e fogge. A guardarli uno per uno, offrono un motivo di suggestione nell’ornato, nei moduli decorativi. È una catasta di tessuti fabbricati per essere distesi a terra: dovrebbero permettere di passare, di calpestare e di godere di uno spazio, sia fisicamente che esteticamente. Qui invece i tappeti da spazio calpestabile, diventano barriera inoltrepassabile.

The space is almost entirely covered by rolls, layers and sheets of fabric: rugs of various sorts and shapes. Looking at them one by one, they suggest a motif, in their ornament, in the decorative patterns. It’s a pile of fabrics meant to be laid on the ground: they’re supposed to let you pass through, trample on and enjoy a space, both physically and aesthetically. Here, instead, the rugs become barriers that cannot be passed.
